The move, though widely derided by fans, has not left Theodorou with any ill will toward the UFC.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have no ill will toward the UFC,\u201d Theodorou\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/mmajunkie.com\/2019\/06\/elias-theodorou-breaks-silence-on-ufc-release-i-will-reinvent-myself?utm_source=MMAalley&amp;utm_medium=My%20New%20Route&amp;utm_campaign=dlvr.it.spon\">told MMA Junkie<\/a>. \u201cI don\u2019t think being upset about it does anyone good. Especially myself. I don\u2019t want to burn any bridges, but I also want to look at it in the positive aspects where I\u2019m happy and healthy, and I\u2019ve been successful in 20 of my professional times.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, Elias Theodorou says he does understand the UFC&#8217;s decision, if only from a financial vantage point.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>\u201cThe UFC does have 600 athletes,\u201d he said. \u201cI think they just looked at what I was making now being 8-3 in the UFC, the five or seven Canadian fighters they recently added, they probably can pay every single one of their paychecks with my paycheck.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think the surprise \u2013 I think it kind of speaks to what my value is as a martial artist, and the people that know me inside the cage and out.
