UFC bantamweight Ray\nBorg has taken a serious stance on changes that need to be made in his career<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 25-year-old posted on his Twitter account on Wednesday<\/a> that he vows to make changes in his personal life regarding his eating habits in an effort to never miss weight again. Borg stated that should he miss weight one more time and it’s not related to an injury, that he would walk away from MMA altogether. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Borg (11-4) made his UFC\ndebut in Apr. 2014 and has missed weight three times during his tenure with the\nLas Vegas based promotion. In addition, \u201cThe Tazmexican Devil\u201d has been removed\nfrom scheduled bouts with Ian McCall at UFC 203 and Joseph Benavidez at UFC\nFight Night 139 due to illness related to weight cutting issues. His most\nrecent fight against Casey Kenney at UFC on ESPN 2, Borg missed weight by\ntwo-pounds despite moving up a weight class and competing in the bantamweight\ndivision. Borg lost the fight by unanimous decision in a matchup that many\nthought should have been in his favor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n It\u2019s been a tough year for Borg who\u2019s biggest challenges have been outside the cage. After a fight with Brandon Moreno fell through at UFC Fight Night 126, Borg had that matchup rescheduled for UFC 223. However when Conor McGregor stormed the Barclays Center at UFC 223 media day and threw a dolly at the fighter bus, Borg ended up on the receiving end suffering an injury to his eye<\/a>. The NYSAC wouldn\u2019t clear Borg for the fight and he was removed from that card. What would follow is a series of unfortunate health issues with his son<\/a> that kept him out of the cage for the rest of 2018.
