The wife of former UFC interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson filed a restraining order against her husband on Wednesday, alleging domestic violence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to online records, Cristina Ferguson filed the restraining order in Orange County Superior Court yesterday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The court’s domestic violence prevention services project is set to launch a formal investigation on March 22, with a domestic violence hearing set for April 5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to police reports, five domestic disturbances have occurred at the Ferguson residence since January 2018. With that said, Tony Ferguson was never arrested or charged in any of those incidents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The restraining order was filed by Cristina against “El Cucuy” less than one week after six police units were dispatched to the Ferguson home. Cristina told police that she was at her parent\u2019s house in La Mirada this past Friday when Tony Ferguson took their 2-year-old son back to their house and changed all the locks on the doors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Feb. 19, police conducted a welfare check on Tony Ferguson after he made unknown threats, and his wife and son left their house, according to a separate police report. Police spoke to an unidentified female who stated Tony Ferguson had \u201cnot slept for three days and was tearing apart the home\u201d and \u201cbroke apart the fire place and believed someone placed a (computer) chip in his leg.\u201d An unidentified male who\u2019d called the police said the fighter had told him \u201csomeone was inside his walls.\u201d Nearly two hours after the police made contact, Cristina Ferguson told police her husband\u2019s trainer couldn\u2019t get him to leave the house to see a doctor.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just three days earlier, on Feb. 16, Cristina Ferguson called police from a nearby park after leaving their home. She said that, while Tony Ferguson hadn\u2019t been violent to her or anyone else, she was concerned for her husband\u2019s well being. In police comments on the incident report, she reported that \u201che kept throwing \u2018holy water\u2019 at her,\u201d and his condition \u2013 redacted in the report \u2013 had been getting worse. He\u2019d also refused to go to a hospital for an evaluation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tony Ferguson has not stepped foot inside the octagon since defeating former champion Anthony Pettis<\/a> at October’s UFC 229<\/a> event in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“El Cucuy” was offered a fight with Max Holloway for the promotions interim 155-pound title at UFC 236, but ended up declining the title bout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ferguson, who is currently sporting an amazing eleven-fight win streak, most recently called for a fight with Conor McGregor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Irish superstar, McGregor, is currently in some hot water of his own. The former two-division UFC champion was arrested in Miami earlier this week for strong-armed robbery.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
