Over the weekend, UFC lightweight contender Dan Hooker had his wallet stolen from his truck.<\/p>\n

From the sounds of it, he’s nearly tracked down the thief behind this crime.<\/p>\n

Shortly after stealing Hooker’s wallet, this pilferer went to a laundromat and took out some coins using the fighter’s credit card. Little did he know, he was being recorded by the business’s security cameras.<\/p>\n

Dan Hooker got ahold of this security footage and shared it on Instagram, asking his fans to help him identify the man, who had a fairly unique looking tattoo on his forearm.<\/p>\n

“AUCKLAND SHARE! This low life stole my wallet from my truck Saturday night. Genius then used my card to withdraw coins (just after midnight at washworld in Greenlane). He has some very distinctive tattoos on his right arm (swipe right). I would like to have a word with this man. Cash reward for who ever gets me his name.”<\/em> – Dan Hooker on Instagram<\/p>\n

Thanks to a little help from his fans on social media, Hooker now seems to be right behind his thief.<\/p>\n

“That guy went to school with me,” one fan wrote on Instagram.<\/p>\n

“What school was it,” Hooker queried.<\/p>\n

We can safely assume the conversation continued in via private, direct messages.<\/p>\n

Needless to say, Dan Hooker seems to be closing in on his wallet thief, and if he finds him, things could get interesting. Hooker might have lost his last fight \u2014 a stoppage setback against Edson Barboza \u2014 but he’s still one of the world’s premier fighters, and not the kind of man you want to anger.<\/p>\n

Hopefully clearer heads prevail and the UFC fighter turns this desperate man over to the authorities.<\/p>\n
