Conor McGregor is more than just a fantastic fighter. The former UFC lightweight and featherweight champ is also a tremendous self-promoter, as evidenced by his many record-breaking paydays.<\/p>\n

Given McGregor’s gift for self promotion, many sports fans have wondered how he might fare in the world of pro wrestling \u2014 namely in the WWE ring.<\/p>\n

While it doesn’t seem like Conor McGregor will be making the move to pro wrestling anytime soon, Paul Heyman \u2014 who is the so-called ‘advocate’ for Brock Lesnar \u2014 says he’d be willing to represent the Irishman if he made the move.<\/p>\n

He would just want a hefty piece of the pie.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe only way I would ever advocate for Conor McGregor is if I got 50 percent of his money,\u201d Paul Heyman recently told TMZ<\/a>\u00a0(transcript via MMA Mania<\/a>). \u201cWhich considering the fact that I can talk far better than Conor McGregor, I would deserve a lot more. But I would be reasonable for my fee for my advocacy.\u201d<\/p>\n

While many fans would surely love to see Conor McGregor perform in the pro wrestling ring, the Irishman is plenty busy with his MMA career and his ventures outside the cage \u2014 such as his new whiskey Proper No. Twelve, which is reportedly flying off the shelves. <\/a><\/p>\n

If McGregor did make the move to pro wrestling, he certainly wouldn’t be the first MMA fighter to do so. Countless other former fighters have done the same over the years, UFC veterans Ronda Rousey and Matt Riddle being two of the more recent examples.<\/p>\n

Conor McGregor last fought on October 6, when he was\u00a0submitted<\/a>\u00a0by UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov in the main event of UFC 229. Since then, he has been chasing a rematch with Nurmagomedov, though he and the champ will first have to face the music with the Nevada State Athletic Commission, having engaged in a wild brawl after their fight.<\/p>\n
