Though Dunham absorbed considerable damage in this fight, he didn\u2019t actually want to board an ambulance, as he\u2019d\u00a0 had a very hard time getting the UFC to pay the ambulance bill after his 2013 scrap with Gleison Tibau.<\/p>\n<p>All the same, Evan Dunham heeded the advice of the UFC\u2019s doctors, and jumped on an ambulance to the hospital, keen to make sure he didn\u2019t sustain any serious damage in his fight with Dariush. Two fights later, he was still \u201cdealing with collections\u201d as the UFC has still <a href=\"http:\/\/staging.tcpcharms.com\/bjpenn\/mma-news\/evan-dunham\/evan-dunham-dealing-with-collections-after-ufc-fails-to-pay-post-fight-ambulance-bill\/\">failed to pay his ambulance bill for that fight.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Evan Dunham shared his frustration about this situation on Twitter early September.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDealing with collections right now,\u201d Dunham said in his first Tweet on the matter. \u201cUFC never paid my ambulance bill from two fights ago. Even though I sent the bill in multiple times to whoever is supposed to be handling it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFunny thing is that I didn\u2019t want to go in the ambulance in the first place,\u201d he added in a second Tweet, touching on the lesson he learned after his fight with Tibau. \u201cBecause it took them so long to pay the bill from the Tibau fight, but they insisted. One more fight and I am done.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While this was a pretty bad look for the UFC, Evan Dunham says the promotion has made it right. His ambulance bills have been paid, and he&#8217;s not holding a grudge against them ahead of his retirement with with Francisco Trinaldo this weekend.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEverything\u2019s good,\u201d Dunham told <a href=\"https:\/\/mmajunkie.com\/2018\/09\/ufc-paid-evan-dunham-ambulance-bill-no-hard-feelings\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MMAjunkie<\/a>. \u201cThe moral of the story is, close mouths don\u2019t get fed. So if you\u2019re not the squeaky wheel, you don\u2019t get the oil. I was squeaky, and I got my oil, so I\u2019m good.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo be honest, it\u2019s not the UFC,\u201d Dunham added. \u201cWe all know there\u2019s a lot of different things in place, and different departments, so it was an oversight on their part. It\u2019s not a big deal. I don\u2019t hold any grudge on it, but I didn\u2019t want it to affect me long term. So I had to make it known, and it got taken care of.
