“Platinum” Mike Perry and “Super” Sage Northcutt are two of the most interesting characters in MMA. They’re also two of the most exciting fighters in the game.\u00a0Based on those reasons alone, it’s easy to understand why people want to see them fight. The buildup to the fight would be massively entertaining, and the fight itself would probably be even better.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the fight actually makes quite a bit of sense right now. After a few fights at lightweight, Northcutt has settled in the welterweight division \u2014 the division Perry calls home \u2014 where he recently delivered a big knockout win over Zak Ottow. Perry, meanwhile, is riding high on a bloody decision win over Paul Felder.<\/p>\n

Many members of the MMA community, including UFC lightweight Al Iaquinta, have said they want to see this fight.<\/p>\n

“Mike perry vs sage northcut has to happen,” Iaquinta said in a Tweet that got more than 4000 favorites.<\/p>\n

And now, Perry and Northcutt have both commented on the potential booking \u2014 though both kept it quite brief.<\/p>\n

Perry addressed a possible fight with Northcutt on Twitter.<\/p>\n
