There was the time he avenged his worst loss, defeating Matt Serra to reclaim the undisputed welterweight title. There were his incredible wins over Jon Fitch, BJ Penn, Josh Koscheck, Carlos Condit, Nick Diaz and Johny Hendricks. There was the time he emerged from a four-year hiatus to steal the UFC middleweight title from Michael Bisping. Oh, and then there was that time he was charged by an alpha gorilla in the wilderness of Africa.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, apparently that actually happened \u2014 and no, we&#8217;re not talking about Darren &#8220;The Gorilla&#8221; Till.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday evening, St-Pierre shared video footage and a brief account of the time he was charged by an alpha male gorilla in the rugged wilds of Africa, and was forced to back away in a submissive stance. Watch the video above, and read St-Pierre&#8217;s description of this undoubtedly harrowing event below.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This video was taken in Africa seconds after an alpha gorilla charged me,&#8221; he said. &#8220;I had to take a submissive posture and get out of his way. One of the most frightening and incredible experiences of my life &#8211; even with all the fight training in the world I wouldn\u2019t have been a match!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Georges St-Pierre has faced some monsters in his day, and realized incredible heights as a mixed martial artist.
