The only difference being that Lopez was given a UFC contract after his win whereas Simon was not.<\/p>\n<p>Simon would go on to win and defend the LFA bantamweight crown after that before finally getting his big break when he defeated Merab Dvalishvili\u00a0at UFC Atlantic City by last-second submission in the fight of the night.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 1280px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/i.ytimg.com\/vi\/hL22wATnbXU\/maxresdefault.jpg\" width=\"1280\" height=\"720\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">PhotoCred: YouTube<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Lopez made his UFC debut back in December when he defeated Albert Morales by unanimous decision to extend his undefeated record to 9-0.<\/p>\n<p>After Simon&#8217;s big debut victory, he has made it clear who he wanted next and that was &#8216;The Golden Boy&#8217;.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cBenito\u2019s from California.
