The crowd at last weekend’s UFC Glendale show was full of MMA stars, as most UFC shows are. One of the famous faces in the crowd was that of red-hot UFC bantamweight prospect Sean O’Malley.<\/p>\n
O’Malley, who has made no secret of his love of the devil’s lettuce, did not let his screen time go to waste, channeling Nate Diaz<\/a>, and pulling out a big joint as the camera panned over him<\/a>.<\/p>\n See this sequence below:<\/p>\n https:\/\/twitter.com\/Solano66\/status\/985317476174123010<\/p>\n Given that the UFC Glendale card was broadcast on national TV, many viewers wondered how the UFC might react to O’Malley’s stunt.\u00a0Luckily, it sounds like the promotion was pretty cool about it.<\/p>\n O’Malley recounted his decision to pull out a joint on national TV, and the reaction of UFC official Heidi Dean, in an appearance on The MMA Hour<\/a>.<\/p>\n “Where they sat us was right in the UFC section, so I figured they would [put me on camera],\u201d O\u2019Malley said on the show. \u201cEventually they come up to us and said, \u2018Hey, we\u2019re going to shoot you guys here in a little bit, we\u2019ll let you know\u2019. I was like, \u2018this is perfect timing.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI kept smiling at Heidi, who had just told us that we\u2019re going to get on camera because I knew that she wasn\u2019t going to be happy with me, but she wasn\u2019t too mad,” he added. “She was the one who said, \u2018Okay, you guys are going to be on camera in 3,2,1,\u2019 and I kept smiling at her but she didn\u2019t know why, but I think she did then.”<\/p>\n O’Malley said he also warned MMA Lab training partner Mackenzie Dern, who sat beside him, about his plan.<\/p>\n \u201cI told her before; I warned her,” he said. “Well, I told her right before and she said, \u2018Okay\u2019. Mackenzie is cool. She\u2019s been training at The MMA Lab for three years, so I\u2019ve known her for a while.\u201d<\/p>\n
