Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey<\/a> has left the world of mixed martial arts behind, and from the looks of it<\/a>, she couldn’t be happier with her new life as a pro wrestler.<\/p>\n

That being said, Rousey’s transformation from fighter to pro wrestler\u2014particularly her exit from the UFC\u2014was not exactly easy.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Submission Radio<\/a>, Rousey’s mother, AnnaMaria De Mars, shared some advice that she offered her world-famous daughter to help her leave the UFC and set off for greener pastures.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019ve told her that, and I tell all my girls that, and I tell graduate students that I teach that you don\u2019t owe anybody else your life, and you don\u2019t live your life by other people\u2019s expectations,\u201d De Mars said (h\/t WMMARankings.com<\/a>). \u201cSo, I think it\u2019s really great that she\u2019s doing what she\u2019s happy about doing now. And, yes, I think it\u2019s the right thing in life to try help other people and make the world a little bit better when you can.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut if you get to the point where you\u2019re not, I just think too many people get out of bed, and they\u2019re not excited to face the day, and it doesn\u2019t have to be like that. And so, if you don\u2019t feel like that, you should change.\u201d<\/p>\n
