We got Khabib vs The Champ Max Holloway for the 155lb title this Saturday in Brooklyn New York!!!!!!! <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/quvI3UqGXh\">pic.twitter.com\/quvI3UqGXh<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; danawhite (@danawhite) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/danawhite\/status\/980577727882387466?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 1, 2018<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The brash UFC boss went on to tell ESPN&#8217;s Brett Okamoto that next weekend&#8217;s Holloway vs. Khabib title fight winner would be crowned the promotions lightweight champion. <\/p>\n<p>So what does that mean for the belt current worn by UFC interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson? <\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThat goes away,\u201d<\/em> Dana said of Tony Ferguson\u2019s interim lightweight title. <em>\u201cThis fight (Holloway vs. Khabib) is for the title. The winner of this will be the champion!\u201d <\/em>\u2013 Dana White<\/p>\n<p>Tony Ferguson would later release an emotional statement regarding his devastating UFC 223 removal (read that <a href=\"http:\/\/staging.tcpcharms.com\/bjpenn\/mma-news\/tony-ferguson\/tony-ferguson-issues-emotional-statement-following-ufc-223-removal\/\">here<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>With that said, it is also assumed that the promotion will follow through with their plan to strip Conor McGregor of his lightweight world title at UFC 223.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/staging.tcpcharms.com\/bjpenn\/mma-news\/khabib-nurmagomedov\/khabib-nurmagomedov-sends-messages-to-both-tony-ferguson-and-conor-mcgregor\/\">Khabib Nurmagomedov also reacted to today&#8217;s shocking news on social media, proceeding to take jabs at both Tony Ferguson and Conor McGregor<\/a> following the UFC 223 switch-up.<\/p>\n<p>Finally it was current UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway&#8217;s turn to address the massive fight news!<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Battle between King Cobra and Reticulated Python.
