The latest issues of this kind stemmed from last weekend&#8217;s UFC 222 card, when a number of cage-side judges \u2013 particularly the infamous Adalaide Byrd \u2013 penned some absolutely baffling scorecards.<\/p>\n<p>UFC bantamweight Pedro Munhoz, who<a href=\"http:\/\/staging.tcpcharms.com\/bjpenn\/mma-news\/ufc-222\/ufc-222-results-john-dodson-vs-pedro-munhoz\/\"> lost a split decision to John Dodson<\/a> on the card, felt he was wronged by the judges on duty for the card, and went off on the subject in an interview with <a href=\"http:\/\/mmajunkie.com\/2018\/03\/pedro-munhoz-split-decision-loss-john-dodson-particularly-30-27-scorecard-mma\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MMAJunkie.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe difference is that I was always pursuing the fight,\u201d Munhoz said, arguing why the fight should have been scored in his favor. \u201cThe difference is that I kicked him in the face, I kicked him in the body, in the leg.\u00a0I landed a clean kick to his face.\u00a0I moved forward, I controlled the cage. And I got a takedown late in the third round.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Munhoz took particularly strong issue with Byrd&#8217;s score, which identified Dodson as the winner of all three rounds with a 30-27 score.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat fight was she watching?\u201d Munhoz said. \u201cDid she watch the fight that came before and was drunk for mine? Where, in her head \u2013 is she experienced? Does she know what fighting is? Does she come from boxing? Does she know MMA? Are they assessing aggression, grappling, kicks, punches, fight control? Or is she a fan of Floyd Mayweather, who does that Tom &amp; Jerry, cat and mouse game of running from the opponent?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Needless to say, Munhoz feels he should have won the bout, and doesn&#8217;t understand what the judges wanted to see.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s very frustrating,\u201d he said. \u201cThat\u2019s the word, exactly: it\u2019s very frustrating. One thing that was clear to me was that I gave my all. I left my last breath and my last sweat drop in the cage. I did everything to show that I wanted to win. I wanted the knockout or the submission, but he was running too much, he\u2019s too fast.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI did everything to show I wanted the fight more,&#8221; he continued. &#8220;How? By attacking at all times. If that wasn\u2019t enough to show I shouldn\u2019t have won, what should have I done? Should I have run like him? Then there wouldn\u2019t have been a fight.
