{"id":271821,"date":"2018-03-04T19:37:20","date_gmt":"2018-03-05T03:37:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/staging.tcpcharms.com\/bjpenn\/?p=271821"},"modified":"2018-03-04T19:45:55","modified_gmt":"2018-03-05T03:45:55","slug":"miesha-tate-sounds-off-poor-judging-ufc-222","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging.tcpcharms.com\/bjpenn\/mma-news\/miesha-tate\/miesha-tate-sounds-off-poor-judging-ufc-222\/","title":{"rendered":"Miesha Tate sounds off on the poor judging at UFC 222!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Miesha Tate sounds off on the poor judging at UFC 222!<\/p>\n<p>Former UFC women&#8217;s bantamweight champion Miesha Tate was not at all happy with the judging at last night&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/staging.tcpcharms.com\/bjpenn\/mma-news\/ufc-222\/ufc-222-live-results\/\">UFC 222 event<\/a> in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n<p>The event showcased a total of twelve fights, five of which ended in split-decisions.<\/p>\n<p>The mixed results caused both fans and fighters to voice their displeasure on social media.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Cupcake&#8221; shared her thoughts on the matter via Twitter:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">All these Split decisions are BS shows the poor consistency in judging!!!<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Miesha Tate (@MieshaTate) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MieshaTate\/status\/970143430553694208?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 4, 2018<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;All these Split decisions are BS shows the poor consistency in judging!!!&#8221;<\/em> &#8211; Miesha Tate<\/p>\n<p>Miesha Tate&#8217;s former boyfriend, UFC bantamweight contender Bryan Caraway, was one of the fighters who ended up on the wrong end of a split-decision.<\/p>\n<p>Brian Caraway dropped a split-decision loss to Cody Stamann (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) during the UFC 222 Fight Pass Prelims. <\/p>\n<p>One of the most bizarre results came from the first fight of the UFC 222 main card when <a href=\"http:\/\/staging.tcpcharms.com\/bjpenn\/mma-news\/cat-zingano\/ufc-222-results-ketlen-vieira-vs-cat-zingano\/\">Ketlen Vieira was awarded a split-decision win over Cat Zingano (29-28, 28-29, 29-28)<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Vieira had appeared to easily win two of three rounds against &#8220;Alpha&#8221;, but somehow one judge saw the bout in favor of Zingano.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to Vieira vs. Zingano and Caraway vs. Stamann, the following three fights also ended with judges split-decisions.<\/p>\n<p><em>Mackenzie Dern vs. Ashley Yoder \u2013 Dern def. Yoder via split-decision (28-29, 29-28, 29-28)<\/p>\n<p>John Dodson vs. Pedro Munhoz \u2013 Dodson def. Munhoz via split-decision (28-29, 30-27, 29-28)<\/p>\n<p>Jordan Johnson vs. Adam Milstead \u2013 Johnson def. Milstead via split decision (29-28, 27-30, 29-28)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>UFC 222 also featured the return of controversial judge Adalaide Byrd.
