We all have grown familiar with his Power Ranger post-fight celebrations and his fruit-crushing outside of the cage. Back in October of last year, he <a href=\"http:\/\/staging.tcpcharms.com\/bjpenn\/mma-news\/sage-northcutt\/check-sage-northcutt-giving-us-heart-attacks-alpha-male-hike\/\">nearly gave us a heart attack hiking with Team Alpha Male<\/a>, but it turns out he nearly had one himself on another day by himself when he almost reenacted the bear scene from The Revenant.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cOne of the first times that I was up in Sacramento, California, I was up in the mountains \u2013 and this is almost towards the Lake Tahoe area \u2013 I\u2019m up in the mountains, I went running and climbed this waterfall by myself. I\u2019m in the middle of nowhere, I climbed about two miles past the waterfall, and all of a sudden everything gets real quiet. Well, I didn\u2019t know at the time, but there\u2019s black bears up there. So I heard something grunting. All I had was a little tiny knife on me just for like protection, just because I need it, but it couldn\u2019t do anything to a black bear, I don\u2019t think. So, what I did was I hid behind the water that was coming out of the waterfall, and it was absolutely freezing. So, I hid for about five minutes. I didn\u2019t move. So that was a crazy story because I felt like I was gonna get eaten.\u00a0It was pretty crazy because at first I was like, maybe it\u2019s a cougar, maybe it\u2019s something\u2026 I didn\u2019t know what it was. And I\u2019m over behind the waterfall where the water\u2019s coming out, and I take my phone out and I\u2019m trying to Google if there\u2019s bears in California. And then I remembered, like, I saw a statue of a bear. It was a gold bear or a silver bear in Sacramento like an hour and a half away. So I\u2019m like OK, like, there\u2019s gotta be bears. So then I just waited, I was completely quiet and didn\u2019t move. And then when it stopped, I was, my heart was definitely racing cause I took off so fast. My adrenaline was going so much I felt like I was floating on my feet, like, flying.\u201d<\/em> &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.submissionradio.com\/\">Sage Northcutt speaking to Submission Radio<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Can someone send this recap to an agent? This sounds like a movie. Sage Northcutt is hiding behind some sort of ice cold waterfall waiting in suspense while a bear growls and plods around in his general vicinity. Of course, in the movie Sage Northcutt would run but the bear would catch up and there would be some sort of crazy nature parkour involved.
