Perennial UFC welterweight contender “Platinum” Mike Perry will look to rebound from his recent loss to Santiago Ponzinibbio<\/a> when he squares off with Max Griffin at UFC on FOX 28 on February 24 in Orlando<\/a>, Florida.<\/p>\n

The welterweight knockout artist, Perry, recently sat down with host Kinch from BJ Penn Radio where he discussed his newly announced fight which takes place in his backyard of Orlando, Florida.<\/p>\n

“Platinum” is anticipating a tough fight from Griffin at the Amway Center on February 24, but ultimately believes that he will add another devastating KO to his highlight reel<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“I perform when the lights are on. Man, I feel like… Look, all UFC fighters are supposed to be tough. Some people are saying I’m getting the easy fight. A lot of people are saying it’s going to be a tough fight, or that they just can’t wait to see. I can understand why they can’t wait to see. I’m expecting like a KO of the year out of this. I like Max Griffin as a person. I met him, I hung out with him. But mentally, he even said back then, he was like, ‘We’re going to fight.'”<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Mike<\/p>\n

Perry, who lives just outside of Orlando in Lake Mary, plans on drinking beers with his opponent Max Griffin after UFC on FOX 28 is in the books.<\/p>\n

“Oh, I live outside of the city. I live in Lake Mary. Orlando, though, shut it down, man. We’re going to party after I whoop his ass. I’m going to party with him, if he can get out of the hospital. For sure, we’ll see. He might have some beers and some morphine.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Prior to suffering a close unanimous decision loss to Santiago Ponzinibbio at UFC on FOX 26 in Winnipeg, Mike Perry was riding a two-fight win streak that included brutal knockout victories over Jake Ellenberger and Alex Reyes.<\/p>\n
