Conor McGregor’s<\/a> name has been buzzing in media headlines this week even without any plans of fighting again in 2017.<\/p>\n

Early this week, rumors spread on social media<\/a> that “The Notorious” was involved in a bar fight in Crumlin, Ireland with at least one man linked to the Kinahan drug cartel<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Conor’s father, Tony, spoke with the Irish Mirror<\/a> about the rumored incident that supposedly happened on Sunday night.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s all nonsense, that is,” said Tony. “Absolute nonsense. It\u2019s an absolute nonsense story.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s grown legs and it\u2019s getting that ridiculous \u2013 it\u2019s become funny. We have nothing to fear here whatsoever. There\u2019s no one after us for anything.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re a law-abiding family and we\u2019ve stayed a law-abiding family.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"Conor<\/a><\/p>\n

Conor’s father was then asked if the gardai (Irish police) have been in contact with the McGregor family and Tony reacted to the question to his same tune.<\/p>\n

\u201cGuards have no reason to be in touch. Why would they?\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked where Conor was, Tony replied that he was simply at home with his baby and girlfriend.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re all just settling down for Christmas now. I\u2019ve just got the grandson\u2019s presents in today, they just came in from America.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll be wrapping them, putting them under the tree for the big day. That\u2019s it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Conor also made headlines today when he showed up late to a court hearing<\/a> for a speeding violation he got last year. McGregor pleaded guilty and was ordered to pay a fine from a judge who was not happy about his tardiness to the hearing. McGregor then left the courthouse and delivered a message saying “Come and get me”<\/a> out his car window to the media as he and his entourage sped off.<\/p>\n
