After a long social media campaign to try and finally get the title defense <a href=\"http:\/\/staging.tcpcharms.com\/bjpenn\/mma-news\/holly-holm\/fight-cris-cyborg-featherweight-vegas-ufc-219\/\">booked against Holly Holm<\/a>, Cris Cyborg and their team have called off negotiations and canceled their upcoming meeting <a href=\"http:\/\/staging.tcpcharms.com\/bjpenn\/mma-news\/cris-cyborg-justino\/cris-cyborg-holm-fight-featherweight\/\">to solidify a deal<\/a>. There were a lot of images circulating that made it seem like we were close to the fight with Holly Holm, it looks like we were, but now we&#8217;re back to square one. Hopefully, there will be more updates on the situation and eventually Cyborg can defend her title. After all, she was originally supposed to fight Megan Anderson, who was recently at the UFC Performance Institute.
