This confrontation reached a hectic crescendo when McGregor and Diaz&#8217;s team got into a strange firefight, whipping water bottles and energy drink cans at one another from opposite sides of the David Copperfield Theatre in Las Vegas, Nevada.<\/p>\n<p>Unsurprisingly, the sanctioning Nevada Athletic Commission was not particularly thrilled with this rather juvenile bottle battle. After months and months of proceedings, McGregor was handed a $25,000 fine and given 25 hours of community service for the debacle. Diaz, meanwhile, was fined $15,000 and given 15 hours of community service.<\/p>\n<p>While McGregor has long since paid his fine, it appears he&#8217;s not out of the woods just yet. According to a report from <a href=\"https:\/\/theblast.com\/conor-mcgregor-lawsuit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Blast<\/a>, the Irishman, who now owns the UFC lightweight title, is being sued by a man who was on site during the fracas. This man, named William Pegg, claims to have been hit in the shoulder by an energy drink can. According to The Blast,\u00a0Pegg maintains that he sustained just under $5,000 in medical bills as the result of the impact to his shoulder. He&#8217;s after a whopping $95,000 from McGregor in compensation, a figure that is based on some undeniably weird logic.<\/p>\n<p>The Blast explains:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>How did (Pegg) arrive at that number, you ask?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Pegg claims in the lawsuit that Conor McGregor made <a href=\"http:\/\/staging.tcpcharms.com\/bjpenn\/mma-news\/nate-diaz\/conor-mcgregor-nate-diaz-earn-estimated-15-million-13-million-respectively-ufc-202\/\">$15,000,000<\/a> from his fight with Diaz, during which he was \u201csignificantly\u201d struck by Diaz 166 times. So \u2026 $15,000,000 divided by 166 is about $90,000 (the extra $5K comes from the medical expenses).<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This lawsuit was filed in late March, and apparently, McGregor&#8217;s team is denying liability.<\/p>\n<p>Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz have fought twice. Diaz won the first fight via submission, while McGregor evened the score in their second fight \u2013 the one that occurred at UFC 202 \u2013 winning by majority decision.
