That said, the Irish MMA star is already looking to the future, where he&#8217;s certain other big opportunities await.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;I&#8217;ve got another game that I must occupy also,&#8221; McGregor told the media on Wednesday of his fighting future. &#8220;The options are there. Multiple belts, multiple organizations, multiple styles&#8230; We&#8217;ll see what happens.&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>When pressed, McGregor then dropped a major hint about his next fight, saying he has a trilogy fight in waiting, which of course implies a third battle with his fiercest rival, <a href=\"http:\/\/staging.tcpcharms.com\/bjpenn\/fighter\/nate-diaz\/\">Nate Diaz.<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;There&#8217;s many options,&#8221; he said. &#8220;I have a trilogy fight in waiting, which would be a big fight. There are many fights. Anything attached to my name is a big contest. I&#8217;ve been experiencing these big style fights for a long, long time.&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<div><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/dzBH7DNP8io\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>McGregor and Diaz are 1-1 across two bouts. Diaz shocked the world by winning their first fight with just 11 days to prepare, tapping McGregor in the second round. McGregor then evened the score in their second fight, defeating Diaz with a tooth-and-nail majority decision.<\/p>\n<p>While a Diaz rubber match could be McGregor&#8217;s next challenge, he also recently hinted at <a href=\"http:\/\/staging.tcpcharms.com\/bjpenn\/mma-news\/conor-mcgregor\/conor-mcgregor-hints-plans-future-boxing-mma-hybrid-sport\/\">a strange, MMA-boxing hybrid sport<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cAfter I get a victory on Saturday night, I would most certainly be open to competing in both sports,\u201d McGregor said (h\/t\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbssports.com\/boxing\/news\/conor-mcgregor-has-a-strange-future-plan-for-a-hybrid-of-boxing-and-mma\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CBSSports<\/a>).\u201dMaybe going forward, since I\u2019m the king of the boxing ring and the king of the Octagon already, once I\u2019ve conquered both, maybe I\u2019ll just create my own hybrid of an Octagon and a boxing ring. I\u2019m an active fighter. I enjoy it. I don\u2019t stop thinking about fighting. Most certainly when this one is done, I\u2019ll have 20 seconds when I relish in victory.
