Either late summer or early fall<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Chris Taylor (@CTaylor_96) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CTaylor_96\/status\/868552507974459392\">May 27, 2017<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Now almost sixty days later, Taylor took to Twitter with the following news.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I am told that the UFC is aiming to have a heavyweight title fight between Stipe Miocic and Cain Velasquez headline <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/UFC216?src=hash\">#UFC216<\/a> this October.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Chris Taylor (@CTaylor_96) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CTaylor_96\/status\/887094462018662400\">July 17, 2017<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><br \/>\n<em><br \/>\n&#8220;I am told that the UFC is aiming to have a heavyweight title fight between Stipe Miocic and Cain Velasquez headline UFC 216 this October.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Cain Velasquez (14-2 MMA) has not competed since 2016 at July\u2019s blockbuster UFC 200 event where he scored a first-round TKO victory over Travis Browne.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to that, Velasquez had his impressive five-fight win streak snapped by Fabricio Werdum at UFC 188 in Mexico City, losing his heavyweight title in the process.<\/p>\n<p>Velasquez, who underwent successful surgery in early January, reached out to fight fans this past March with the following statement. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Quick update for all my fans. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/SiSePuede?src=hash\">#SiSePuede<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/bvZGq0eaQ4\">pic.twitter.com\/bvZGq0eaQ4<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Cain Velasquez (@cainmma) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/cainmma\/status\/841447130430623744\">March 14, 2017<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>UFC 216 will take place October 7 live from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n<p>So far only a lightweight bout between Beneil Dariush and Evan Dunham has been announced for the pay-per-view card.<\/p>\n<p>Who do you think will emerge victorious if the targeted title fight between Stipe Miocic and Cain Velasquez goes down at October&#8217;s UFC 216 event in Sin City?
