UFC lightweight Kevin Lee is fresh off his first round submission win over Michael Chiesa<\/a> this Sunday in Oklahoma City, which saw him continue his impressive win streak.<\/p>\n

Prior to the fight, there were reports of Lee training at Floyd Mayweather’s gym<\/a> in order to help Mayweather prepare for his upcoming August 26th showdown with Conor McGregor<\/a>. Following his win over Chiesa, Lee revealed that he believes McGregor will be on the decline following his fight with Mayweather.<\/p>\n

\"Kevin<\/p>\n

He spoke to Slip ‘n Dip<\/a>:<\/p>\n

\u201cI think honestly he\u2019ll be on the decline when he comes back[after the Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight]. He\u2019s been on the decline for a minute. I think he\u2019ll be on the decline, even more, when he comes back,\u201d Lee said. \u201cHis skill set is starting to stagnate. You just put the pressure on him. Keep the pressure on him. He\u2019s too small to hang with us 55\u2019ers. Guys like me and Chiesa, a lot of these guys I fought, you know? Francisco Trinaldo is bigger than me, you know what I mean? Right now I\u2019m sitting here at 185, 189 pounds. I think you put the pressure on him and take him down, and he\u2019s out of his world. He\u2019s gonna sit there and lose guard. Come on.”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Conor McGregor of course currently reigns as the lightweight champion despite fighting at 155 pounds just once in his UFC career, in his most recent fight, where he won the lightweight title by defeating Eddie Alvarez<\/a> via 2nd round TKO.<\/p>\n

While McGregor has yet to defend the lightweight title, UFC President Dana White revealed that after the fight with Mayweather, McGregor would “turn right around” and defend his lightweight title<\/a>. In addition, McGregor’s head coach John Kavanagh revealed that McGregor would ideally defend his title before the end of 2017.<\/p>\n
