How big of a star is Nate Diaz<\/a>?<\/p>\n

Well, I guess that all depends on who you ask.<\/p>\n

According to Diaz himself, he is worth more than what the UFC is willing to pay him right now. This is why we haven’t seen the Stockton scrapper in the Octagon since his rematch against Conor McGregor<\/a> at UFC 202, which, remember, almost didn’t even happen<\/a>.<\/p>\n

When you ask UFC President Dana White, he says the younger Diaz brother isn’t in much of a position to get a piece of pay-per-view points unless he fights Tony Ferguson for the UFC lightweight interim title, which Diaz was willing to do on certain conditions<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, listen, at the end of the day, what is Diaz worth without Conor McGregor? I don\u2019t know,” White said to<\/a> Yahoo Sports<\/a>. “The kid isn\u2019t in a position for pay-per-view or any of that type of [stuff]. But this could put him in a position. If he fought Tony Ferguson, it would be for the interim title.”<\/p>\n

For now, Diaz has been making money outside of the Octagon where he doesn’t have to beat people up or get hit in the process either. Both Nick and Nate have been making appearances<\/a> and have even rolled out some marijuana<\/a> and marijuana related products<\/a> with their name on it. To add to the business ventures outside of the UFC, Nate can be seen on a new billboard. This time, it is not promoting any fight in Las Vegas, but promoting wine brands and a tasting room in Lodi, California.<\/p>\n
