Later this year, at a to-be-determined date, UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping will attempt to defend his title against the most unlikely of challengers \u2013 not Yoel Romero<\/a>, not Robert Whittaker, not Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza, but former UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre.<\/p>\n

Though this fight is not yet scheduled \u2013 which is making Bisping\u00a0increasingly ornery<\/a> \u2013 the two fighters have not held back when it comes to trash talk. Even the typically reserved St-Pierre has hit Bisping with a few zingers.<\/p>\n

In a recent interview with RT Sport<\/a> (via MMAFighting.com<\/a>), the words continued, as St-Pierre discussed\u00a0Bisping’s size advantage<\/a>, saying it’ll only make hit the canvas harder. The bigger they are the harder they fall \u2013 that kind of thing.<\/p>\n

\u201cOf course Michael Bisping will be bigger than me but I believe that will be the only advantage that he will have – his size,” St-Pierre explained. “Technically, tactically, athletically, I have all the edges on him. It doesn\u2019t matter if he\u2019s taller and bigger than me. The only difference that it\u2019s gonna make is when he hits the floor, it\u2019s gonna make a bigger boom.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

St-Pierre then commented on Bisping’s recent threats to\u00a0give the next middleweight title shot back to Yoel Romero<\/a>, should St-Pierre fail to agree to a summer fight. Unsurprisingly, the former welterweight believes the middleweight champ is bluffing.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think he\u2019s lying,” St-Pierre said. “I know he wants to fight me and I want to fight him and this fight\u2019s gonna give him more money. It comes down to his decision but if he wants to do it, I\u2019m down to do it. That\u2019s who I\u2019m getting ready for. If things change, I\u2019m gonna have to turn around and do a quick turnaround but no problem. I can do it. But he\u2019s the man, he\u2019s the one that has the belt. For me, he\u2019s [got] the highest stock right now and I always aim for the high area.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
