Given that Cyborg has had issues with performing enhancers in the past, the MMA community was quick to pick up their torches and pitchforks and accuse her of cheating. In the end, however, Cyborg was <a href=\"http:\/\/staging.tcpcharms.com\/bjpenn\/mma-news\/cris-cyborg-justino\/cris-cyborg-cleared-potential-usada-anti-doping-violation\/\">granted a retroactive Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) for\u00a0Spironolactone<\/a>, the substance in question. As such, she was cleared of any guilt, and will be able to continue to compete as normal.<\/p>\n<p>While Cyborg was proven innocent, however, many members of the MMA community still question the legitimacy of her legacy of dominance. In the opinion of Megan Anderson, who holds the Invicta interim featherweight title and <a href=\"http:\/\/staging.tcpcharms.com\/bjpenn\/mma-news\/megan-anderson\/invicta-champ-megan-anderson-breaks-potential-clash-cyborg\/\">stands out as one of Cyborg&#8217;s biggest rivals<\/a>, this isn&#8217;t exactly just.<\/p>\n<p>Anderson weighed in on the state of Cyborg&#8217;s legacy on the latest edition of <a href=\"http:\/\/staging.tcpcharms.com\/bjpenn\/mma-news\/podcasts\/bjpenn-com-radio-ep-24-misha-circunov-duane-bang-ludwig-megan-anderson\/\">BJ Penn Radio<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;Her legacy isn\u2019t going to affect me until we fight, so I don\u2019t really care about that stuff,&#8221; Anderson said of Cyborg. &#8220;She\u2019s been cleared. People are quick to judge, but I guess it was understandable since she [failed tests] in the past, but I think don\u2019t judge a book by its cover and hold out on judgement.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Anderson then criticized USADA&#8217;s habit of <a href=\"http:\/\/staging.tcpcharms.com\/bjpenn\/mma-news\/ben-rothwell\/ben-rothwell-flagged-by-usada-for-potential-anti-doping-violation\/\">notifying fighters \u2013 and the public \u2013 of potential anti-doping violations\u00a0<em>before\u00a0<\/em>their guilt is proven<\/a>. In her opinion, these things should stay quiet until a fighter is ruled guilty.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;I think it\u2019s really weird that [USADA] comes out and says that people have been notified of a violation,&#8221; she said. &#8220;I think that should be done quietly, and then if they are found guilty\u2014you\u2019re innocent until proven guilty. The way they do it now, you\u2019re guilty, and you have to prove your innocence. I feel like it\u2019s a little biased, and I don\u2019t really like the way they do it.
