At UFC 207, former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey<\/a> made her highly anticipated return to the Octagon for a showdown with UFC women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes. <\/p>\n

Throughout the buildup of the fight, Rousey was the focus of the promos leading up to the fight, stirring quite a bit of controversy<\/a> given that Nunes, the champion, was not receiving the same promo as Rousey was. Following her dominant win over Rousey, Nunes used her post-fight press conference to bash the former champ, saying:<\/p>\n

\"Amanda<\/p>\n

\u201cFuck Ronda Rousey. Now she is going to retire and go do movies. She already has a lot of money. Come on. We have a lot of talent in this division. Now you guys have to look at these girls coming up and working hard. Forget about Ronda Rousey!\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Nunes then apologized to the former champ in the days following the fight<\/a>, stating that she was caught up in the moment.<\/p>\n

Now, ahead of the ‘UFC Fight Night: 106’ ceremonial weigh-ins in Brazil, Nunes spoke during a Q&A to reflect on the build-up to the fight, as well as the fight itself, saying:<\/p>\n

\"Amanda<\/p>\n

“I talk about anger, but I was sad,\u201d Nunes said during a Q&A before the UFC Fight Night 106 ceremonial weigh-ins in Brazil. “I felt alone, you know what I mean? Everything was for Ronda, and I was the champion, the best in the world. That\u2019s why I say that. They hurt me a lot. I fought that day with anger.<\/p>\n

“Every time I touched Ronda, connected a punch, I wanted more and more,\u201d she continued. “That\u2019s why the fight was so fast. Every time I connected, I felt that she couldn’t take it, so I threw more and only stopped when it was over. But it was good.\u201d<\/p>\n

“It was great, you know?\u201d Nunes said. “Every punch I landed in that face made me wanna laugh, but I held it. It was great.”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
