After Jon Jones was pulled from his fight with Anthony Johnson for his infamous hit-and-run incident, the UFC replaced Jones with Cormier and made the fight for the vacant light heavyweight title. <a href=\"http:\/\/staging.tcpcharms.com\/bjpenn\/mmanews\/rqeaply-daniel-cormier-gets-dropped-by-anthony-johnson-comes-back-to-get-submission-win\/\">Cormier of course won the fight via submission<\/a>, claiming the vacant light heavyweight title in the process. Since then, Johnson has rattled off four straight wins to earn himself another crack at the light heavyweight belt once again. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"730\" height=\"380\" src=\"http:\/\/staging.tcpcharms.com\/bjpenn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Anthony-Johnson-wins.png\" alt=\"Rumble Johnson\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-201630\" srcset=\"https:\/\/staging.tcpcharms.com\/bjpenn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Anthony-Johnson-wins.png 730w, https:\/\/staging.tcpcharms.com\/bjpenn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Anthony-Johnson-wins-300x156.png 300w, https:\/\/staging.tcpcharms.com\/bjpenn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Anthony-Johnson-wins-585x305.png 585w, https:\/\/staging.tcpcharms.com\/bjpenn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Anthony-Johnson-wins-390x203.png 390w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 730px) 100vw, 730px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Ahead of the rematch, Johnson spoke to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mmafighting.com\/2017\/1\/31\/14445208\/anthony-johnson-daniel-cormier-can-say-all-he-wants-but-he-knows-whats-coming\" target=\"_blank\">MMAFighting<\/a> to explain what will go differently in his Daniel Cormier rematch:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cOne day I was just laying in bed,\u201d Johnson said. \u201cI didn\u2019t perform to the best of my ability, and I think it was probably six months after that I finally watched the fight. I just woke up at like two in the morning and decided to watch the fight. I woke up and it was on my mind and I just watched it to see what my mistakes were, and I was like okay, they were bad mistakes but they weren\u2019t mistakes that were so bad they couldn\u2019t be fixed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNobody wants to watch themselves lose,\u201d Johnson added. \u201cIt was a weird feeling in my stomach, because like I said, I didn\u2019t perform at the best of my abilities. I think that\u2019s what disgusted me the most. It made me disgusted.
