UFC President Dana White made the retired boxing great what he called a &#8220;real offer&#8221; to fight the MMA superstar. <a href=\"http:\/\/staging.tcpcharms.com\/bjpenn\/boxing-news\/floyd-mayweather\/breaking-dana-white-formally-makes-floyd-mayweather-offer-to-fight-conor-mcgregor\/\">This offer was for $25 million dollars<\/a>, and a to-be-negotiated pay-per-view split.<\/p>\n<p>Shortly after the broadcast of Badou Jack and James DeGale&#8217;s super-middleweight title unification fight, FightHype.com caught up with McGregor to discuss this offer. While Mayweather acknowledged that $25 million is certainly good money, he explained that <a href=\"http:\/\/staging.tcpcharms.com\/bjpenn\/boxing-news\/floyd-mayweather\/floyd-mayweather-wants-conor-mcgregor\/\">it&#8217;s simply far less than he&#8217;s become used to<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cThe last time I made $25 million \u2013 actually I made more \u2013 but the last time I made $25 million was 10 years ago,\u201d Mayweather said. \u201cI\u2019m not bragging or boasting I\u2019m just telling the truth. I\u2019m appreciative and thankful, $25 million is still great money. But for the last, I don\u2019t know how many years, my guaranteed lowest was like, 32, a little bit over 32 [million dollars]. In the &#8216;Canelo&#8217; [Alvarez] fight I made over $100 million in that fight and just in two fights, [Manny] Pacquiao and Canelo, those two fights, somewhere upwards of $400 million. $400 million or better. Sponsorship money leading up to the Pacquiao fight, that week I made 25 to 30 million [dollars]. So these are my numbers. They can say, \u2018Floyd\u2019s lying\u2019 all they want to. If I was so desperate and hurting for money I would come back.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Mayweather went on to explain that he doesn&#8217;t really want to deal with White, who he dealt with back in the early days of his career.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p id=\"ClXQtN\"><em>&#8220;I don\u2019t want to talk to Dana White,\u201d Mayweather said. \u201cRemember, Dana White, he was a player he was a boss but he was a small boss. The big bosses were the Fertittas. But then the Fertitta\u2019s chose to sell the UFC so Dana is just an employee. Dana White \u2013 I like Dana White, I don\u2019t have anything against him \u2013 but I can remember Dana White used to hang around me and Jeff Mayweather and carry my bags.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p id=\"zcnYmN\"><em>\u201cDana White, I remember when you used to carry my bags. And remember, Dana White, I showed you love. You had the little Bullenbeisser [White&#8217;s former apparel company] patch I wore on my trunks for you, Dana. I\u2019ve always been good to you. But then all of the sudden he cut his head bald and he\u2019s such a tough guy.
