Conor McGregor’s girlfriend was hit in the crossfire<\/a> by Team Diaz while a little boy was said to be hit by Team McGregor<\/a> in the fracas.<\/p>\n

On Monday, ESPN<\/a>‘s Brett Okamoto reported that both Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz are facing a potential suspension and fine from the Nevada State Athletic Commission. The report states that the Nevada Attorney General’s Office filed separate complaints on McGregor and Diaz saying that both athletes were involved in conduct that was “detrimental to a contest or exhibition of unarmed combat.”<\/p>\n

Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier were fined by the NSAC for their brawl<\/a> that broke out during a press conference prior to their championship fight in 2014. Both fighters were fined 10 percent of their disclosed salary for the fight, which was $50,000 for Jones and $9,000 for Cormier. Both fighters were also ordered to do community service.<\/p>\n

If a similar fine is placed on McGregor and Diaz, it will be substantially more as McGregor set a UFC record for the highest disclosed pay<\/a>, earning $3,000,000 for the fight while Diaz’s ranked third in highest in UFC history for disclosed pay, earning $2,000,000. However, both men earned far more with pay-per-view points which are not disclosed. One report from<\/a> Big Boy Brands<\/a> estimates that Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz earned an estimated $15 million and $13 million respectively for their UFC 202 fight where “The Notorious” ended up taking a majority decision win over Diaz.<\/p>\n

Diaz has gone on record to say that he believes he won their rematch and is 2-0 against the Irish superstar. Diaz is waiting for their trilogy fight and another big payday.<\/p>\n

As far as what is next for the UFC featherweight champion, reports are going around that the UFC is targeting Conor McGregor vs. Eddie Alvarez for the UFC lightweight title at UFC 205 in New York.<\/p>\n
