Outspoken woman’s bantamweight Bethe Correia may be fighting Jessica Eye<\/a> at UFC 203 this weekend, but a fight with Cris Cyborg is on the former title challenger’s mind.<\/p>\n

The Strikeforce woman’s featherweight champion\u00a0finally debuted in the Octagon at UFC 198<\/a>, and has been the subject of many call-outs ever since, with Correia being the most recent:<\/p>\n

“Of course. I don\u2019t see any disadvantage in fighting Cyborg, she\u2019s not an alien so there\u2019s no need to run away from her or be scared,” Correia told MMAFighting.com<\/a>. “I respect Cris Cyborg. I would be happy to fight her. I\u2019d never refuse a chance to fight her. If the UFC calls me after UFC 203, I\u2019d definitely take it.”<\/p>\n

“Even though I don\u2019t like to fight a fellow Brazilian, I\u2019d be proud to fight Cris Cyborg,” she said. “I know I\u2019m capable of beating Cris Cyborg. I don\u2019t see her as an unbeatable opponent. I always watch her fights, and I see ways to win. I\u2019d fight her, for sure.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Although the two fight at different weight classes, Correia at 135 pounds and Cyborg at 145 pounds, the Brazilian bantamweight called for a catchweight bout between the two, something Cyborg has long considered in her quest for a fight with former champ Ronda Rousey.<\/p>\n

“I only weigh a bit over 145,” Correia explains. “I\u2019d do a catchweight like she\u2019s doing in the UFC, at 140 pounds. I\u2019d do it, no problem.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Rousey repeatedly declined the catchweight fight with Cyborg<\/a>, who has called out the former UFC woman’s bantamweight champ for a 140 pound contest<\/a> in an effort to put the super fight together.<\/p>\n

Correia looks to right the track after two losses in a row against ‘Evil’ Eye on the preliminary card leading up to UFC 203 this Saturday night in Cleveland, Ohio, where hometown fighter Stipe Miocic will defend the heavyweight belt against Alistair Overeem in the main event.<\/p>\n
