Now, all he wants his a welterweight title shot\u2013ideally at UFC 205 in New York City this November.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley, who won the the belt by snuffing Robbie Lawler in July, seems to have <a href=\"http:\/\/staging.tcpcharms.com\/bjpenn\/mma-news\/tyron-woodley\/tyron-woodley-details-fights-thinks-next-ufcs-welterweight-division\/\">other plans<\/a>. If the new champ has his way, his first defense will be a &#8216;money fight&#8217; opposite welterweight great <a href=\"http:\/\/staging.tcpcharms.com\/bjpenn\/mma-news\/georges-st-pierre\/georges-st-pierre-im-ready-go\/\">Georges St-Pierre<\/a>, or fan favorite <a href=\"http:\/\/staging.tcpcharms.com\/bjpenn\/mma-news\/nick-diaz\/video-nick-diaz-party-cam-always-ladies\/\">Nick Diaz<\/a>\u2013not against Thompson.<\/p>\n<p>Unsurprisingly, Thompson is not especially\u00a0impressed by Woodley&#8217;s attitude. In fact, Thompson believes that Woodley should be stripped of his title if he continues to avoid a fight with him.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I know he wants that money fight, but what champion who really has had the belt around their waist for 30 seconds says, \u2018Hey, give me a money fight&#8217;? I was kind of laughing in my head,&#8221; Thompson told Mike Bohn of <a href=\"http:\/\/mmajunkie.com\/2016\/08\/until-told-otherwise-stephen-thompson-expects-champ-tyron-woodley-at-ufc-205-in-new-york\">MMA Junkie<\/a>. &#8220;If he&#8217;s refusing somebody&#8230;a champion refusing to fight somebody?
