Former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman wants a shot at newly crowned title holder Michael Bisping. <\/p>\n

“The Count” is call the shots however, and has told Weidman he is not next in line.<\/p>\n

Weidman spoke about the reality that Michael Bisping is now the UFC’s middleweight champion during a fan Q&A at UFC Ottawa:<\/p>\n

“I guess it’s something I gotta get used to for at least little bit,\u201d Weidman said at the Q&A for UFC Ottawa, per Jed Meshew of MMA Fighting<\/a>. \u201cIt’s the reality that has happened because of me, because I got injured. He should be kissing my feet right now and instead he’s not saying my name. Smart move. Bisping is definitely going to try and keep that belt as long as he possibly can and he doesn’t want to look at me. I understand that. Good for him. Smart.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Weidman also talked about the potential of GSP returning to fight “The Count” for the title:<\/p>\n

“If it’s true, they see an easy fight, why not go for it and get a belt at the same time? Who wouldn’t want that? I mean, poor Bisping but can you pick one guy in the top 15 that you are sure he can beat? There are definitely guys he can beat but that you would say for sure he would beat? Who is he gonna be a favorite against? Maybe a small favorite [against Henderson],” Weidman said.<\/em><\/p>\n
