MMA legend Dan Henderson<\/a> is currently the oldest fighter on the UFC’s roster.<\/p>\n

At 45-years-old, the former PRIDE and Strikeforce champion is set to fulfill his last fight on his current UFC contract when he faces Hector Lombard at UFC 199. “Hendo” says that he feels he still can compete with the best, but is unsure of his future fighting in the UFC.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m definitely capable of keeping on and still competing at a high level, but I\u2019m almost ready to retire, and depending on how things play out after this fight with negotiations, yeah, it could be my last,\u201d Henderson told MMAjunkie<\/a> Radio. \u201cOr maybe I\u2019ll still fight. I don\u2019t know yet. I\u2019m at that point where I\u2019m about ready, but definitely, I know in my heart I\u2019m still capable of doing it and if I do decide to keep going on I\u2019ll make sure I do it well.\u201d<\/p>\n

Henderson was crushed<\/a> when he found out his fight with Lyoto Machida was canceled after Machida was pulled from their UFC on FOX 19 bout days before the event after admitting to using a banned substance<\/a>. However, “Hendo,” says that his fight with Lombard is one better suited for the fans.<\/p>\n

\u201cInstead of fighting a guy that runs all the time I got a guy that runs at you the whole time \u2013 at least for the first few minutes,\u201d Henderson said. \u201cIt\u2019s a totally different style, just a completely different fighter I\u2019m training for. It is what it is I think it\u2019s \u2013 the fight with Hector Lombard is definitely something the fans will enjoy more than watching Machida run around the whole time.\u201d<\/p>\n
