{"id":187725,"date":"2016-02-29T12:23:55","date_gmt":"2016-02-29T20:23:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/staging.tcpcharms.com\/bjpenn\/?p=187725"},"modified":"2016-02-29T12:23:55","modified_gmt":"2016-02-29T20:23:55","slug":"anderson-silva-thought-broke-leg-first-round-fight-michael-bisping","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging.tcpcharms.com\/bjpenn\/mma-news\/anderson-silva\/anderson-silva-thought-broke-leg-first-round-fight-michael-bisping\/","title":{"rendered":"Anderson Silva thought he broke his leg in the first round in fight with Michael Bisping"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It was one of the most gruesome injuries we have seen in the UFC when former middleweight champion Anderson Silva broke his leg kicking fellow former middleweight champion Chris Weidman in their rematch at UFC 168 back in 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Silva&#8217;s coach Luiz Dorea revealed to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mmafighting.com\/2016\/2\/29\/11134030\/coach-anderson-silva-thought-he-cracked-repaired-leg-in-first-round\" target=\"_blank\">MMA Fighting<\/a> that he had suffered an injury in his controversial <a href=\"http:\/\/staging.tcpcharms.com\/bjpenn\/mma-news\/videos\/replay\/\">fight with Michael Bisping<\/a>, which Silva thought he had broken his leg once again.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;He felt a kick he landed in the first round, thought he cracked his leg and a screw moved,&#8221; Dorea said. &#8220;That limited his movements, made him stop attacking for a moment. I asked him to attack, but he said \u2018professor, I\u2019m feeling it, I have no confidence\u2019. I said \u2018use your heart, you\u2019re Anderson Silva, go after him\u2019. That slowed him down a bit. Bisping attacked more, but less effectively. Anderson was more effective. I hope the commission reviews this result because this is bad for the sport. Even Dana White saw that way. Everybody knows who won the fight.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>After the fight, Silva got his leg checked to see what sort of damage was done.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Silva did some exams after the fight. He suffered an injury, but the screw didn\u2019t move,&#8221; he added. &#8220;I don\u2019t know how bad the injury was, but I know the screw didn\u2019t move and he won\u2019t need a surgery. He was in pain in the locker room, but he won\u2019t need surgery. He was in pain, he couldn\u2019t even put his shoes on, but he\u2019s fine now.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>While Silva and his team believe they did more than enough to win the decision, all three judges scored the fight in favor of Bisping where the two athletes showed a <a href=\"http:\/\/staging.tcpcharms.com\/bjpenn\/mma-news\/photo-bisping-and-silva-share-true-sportsmanship-backstage\/\">high level of respect<\/a> for another after it was all said and done.<\/p>\n<p>Who do you think won the fight?
