For Carlos Condit<\/a>, the decision on retiring<\/a> from the sport of MMA is still lingering in his mind. While still being at the top of his game, “The Natural Born Killer” wants to ensure that he will be healthy after his career is long over.<\/p>\n

Condit, who spoke on the MMA Hour recently did mention that there is one fight that would get him back in the Octagon without any hesitation\u00a0(transcribed by MMA Fighting<\/a>):<\/p>\n

“An immediate rematch with Lawler is about the only fight that raises my pulse,” Condit said. “That I can get interested in. Those other fights are a little bit more, the rematch with Robbie would be, boom, we’d have a bout agreement in the box real quick and we could get that done.”<\/p>\n

For Condit, his family is ultimately who he needs to be healthy for in the long run.<\/p>\n

“I still love what I do, I still have a lot of fight left in me,” Condit said. “From a looking long-term, I have to do what is right for my health, for my family, things have been difficult the last couple years, my wife has had some health problems that are fairly major, and, you know, these fights are super stressful. Like I said, I absolutely love what I do. I gotta do what’s right for my family. I’m still weighing my options right now.”<\/p>\n

“I just spent six months at least training for that fight<\/a>, went in there, had a war, I’m not in any rush to do anything right now,” he said.<\/p>\n

However, Condit’s competitive nature still seems to be burning inside, but we will have to wait and see what comes next for the “Natural Born Killer.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
