Demetrious Johnson is easily one of the most dominant champions to step foot in the octagon. Whether fans think his style of fighting is exciting or not is irrelevant; “Mighty Mouse” has handily defeated any and all competition UFC brass put in front of him. Despite defending his flyweight championship seven times, he has yet to clear out the division and there are still a handful of names he has yet to face.<\/p>\n

One possible future opponent could be the undefeated Henry Cejudo. The Olympian earned unanimous decisions over Dustin Kimura, Chris Cariaso, and Chico Camus to nail a top five spot within his division and the argument could be made he is next in line. However, if Johnson’s next title defense happens to be in Las Vegas, Cejudo will be asking UFC to look for another opponent.<\/p>\n

Cejudo has decided to stand up against the Nevada State Athletic Commission after they suspended Nick Diaz for five years. Diaz failed one of his post-fight UFC 183 drug tests for marijuana and was given a heavy, borderline unnecessary punishment as a result of it. Cejudo came out and said he refused to fight in Las Vegas until things changed.<\/p>\n

Johnson doesn’t plan on altering his schedule for Cejudo’s beliefs, however, and is looking to fight at UFC 196. \u201cIt\u2019s not my problem,\u201d told MMA Junkie<\/a>. \u201c(UFC 196) is the (event) I\u2019m foreseeing. That\u2019s when I want to fight, and that\u2019s where I leave it at.<\/p>\n

While Johnson doesn’t mess with drugs, he came out and said he believed Diaz’s punishment was harsh and he signed the petition. As far as Cejuedo’s stand against the NSAC goes, he commends it but is a business man at day’s end. \u201cYou can say anything you want, but when the UFC gives you a fight, you take it. I\u2019ve never turned down a fight from the UFC.\u201d<\/p>\n
