He also held onto the fight ending submission a little bit too long, which he&#8217;s been accused of several times in the past. On Tuesday&#8217;s The MMA Hour, WSOF president Ray Sefo announced that Palhares had been stripped of his title and suspended indefinitely.<\/p>\n<p>His manager came out right after and said he didn&#8217;t agree with how the promotion was handling the situation, but the former champ has stayed silent, until now.<\/p>\n<p>He told <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mmafighting.com\/2015\/8\/5\/9103771\/rousimar-palhares-rips-greased-a-hole-jake-shields-denies-eye-gouging\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MMAFighting<\/a> that it was Shields who was cheating and he basically did nothing wrong. OK.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;That makes me sad. Jake Shields is unbelievable. He\u2019s a total a&#8211;hole. I couldn\u2019t believe someone could be such an a&#8211;hole. He has no respect for me, for the sport, for anyone. He\u2019s dishonest. He had Vaseline all over his body, he was more slippery than a okra. I couldn\u2019t grab a hold of him for nothing.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;I wasn\u2019t mad at him before the fight, but the things that happened during the fight made me pissed. He\u2019s calling me a dirty fighter, but he\u2019s the one with Vaseline all over his body. That\u2019s dirty. And he also threw things at me while I was talking to the media after the fight. I was upset with things he said before the fight, but I became pissed with everything that happened in the fight.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;He had so much Vaseline that I could barely stand back up after we went to the ground for the first time.
