Some of the top managers from the world of mixed martial arts will be meeting in Las Vegas next week to discuss several business topics, including the fallout from the Reebok\/UFC deal.<\/p>\n

Mike Robers and Jeff Meyer of MMA Inc., who manage stars like Urijah Faber, Anthony Pettis and Paige VanZant, told MMAFighting<\/a> how the meeting came about. “This came about through a couple of unrelated phone calls between a few managers. It was suggested that we should all get together some time. Since quite a few managers will be in Las Vegas over Memorial Day, we decided to put something together. An invitation was sent out to about a dozen managers. The response was very positive and a few managers that were not on the original invitation have asked to attend as well. And they are welcome to do so.”<\/p>\n

The timing of the meeting comes just two weeks after the payout of the Reebok\/UFC deal was announced. While some fighters have approved of how much money they would get from the deal, the majority of fighters took to Twitter and complained how they would actually be LOSING money. “Reebok is only one component of a multitude of issues managers should be talking about,” Roberts stated.<\/p>\n
