The body shot is undoubtably one of the most lethal, but also least used, techniques in combat sports today. While it’s no secret that a well-placed liver shot will put an opponent down ten times out of ten, the frequency of body shot TKOs in MMA today is relatively low.

In the video above, two weight world boxing champion Ricky Hatton, and fellow British boxing champion Jamie Moore can be seen not only breaking down why body shots are so effective, but also explaining how to properly set up a devastating fight-ending body shot, complete with fight footage of Hatton using the combos.
