During the ‘Klitschko Era’ of Boxing, Vitali and Wladimir Klitschko were two of the most feared men on the planet. The brothers dominated heavyweight boxing for around a decade before Vitali Klitschko finally retired. Wladimir Klitschko on the other hand, the younger brother of Vitali, continues to fight on, and was recently defeated by Anthony Joshua.

What many fans don’t know about Vitali Klitschko, is that before becoming a professional boxer, he was an amateur kickboxer with an extremely impressive record of 34-2. Klitschko’s first loss took place in 1992, when the older Klitschko brother stepped into the ring at the European Kickboxing Championships when he faced Pele Reid.

Reid managed to pick up a spectacular and unexpected win as he knocked Klitschko out with a clean spinning kick to the jaw late in the match.
