While Rizin FF may struggle finding opponents for Gabi Garcia in MMA, one Japanese promotion decided that an open weight fight between a female Judoka and an MMA fighter was a good idea.

The fight looks somewhat reminiscent of watching smaller fighters in Pride FC run from much larger opponents in ‘spectacle fights’ back in the day, as we see the female MMA fighter frantically attempting to avoid being grabbed by her much larger opponent.

Ultimately, the female Judoka ends up getting ahold of her opponent, and winds up submitting her with a neck crank. The submission of course, likely could also have been in part due to pressure from having a much much bigger and heavier opponent on her chest.

Fortunately, it doesn’t appear that the MMA fighter was injured by the horrific takedown, the submission, or the size discrepancy, despite the fact that the Judoka held onto the submission after the tap.
