UFC officials have added a welterrweight bout to the UFC Fight Night 34 event set to go down on January 4th.
With the removal of Jake Ellenberger from the night’s main event and the call to put Hyun Gyu Lim in his slot opposite Tarec Saffiedine, the UFC brass is calling up UFC newcomer Luiz Dutra to step in against Lim’s original opponent, Kiichi Kunimoto.
UFC Fight Night 34 goes down from Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre and will serve as the UFC’s first entry into Southeast Asian territory.
Dultra is a Brazilian import coming into the UFC on the heels of a four-fight winning streak, though he hasn’t fought in 2013 at all.
