Urijah Faber Blames ‘Dead Time’ For Loss To Edgar

faber vs. edgar

The California Kid lost every round to Frankie Edgar but doesn’t believe he got beat up by any means.

Faber, while talking to The MMA Hour, mentioned that he felt the reason Edgar won was because of all the dead time throughout the fight.

“For me, that was dead time in there. And that’s kind of the difference. Could I have done some takedown attempts and try to wrestle a little bit? Yeah. But I don’t feel like it was the best move to finish the fight. So that’s why I wasn’t going for as much wrestling.”

He thought that all that time against the cage, with Edgar trying to grapple, is what gave him the nod, even though Edgar wasn’t successful doing a lot. What do you guys think, did Edgar dominate Faber or just do enough?
