Max Holloway put on the performance of his career in the octagon tonight against Cub Swanson and there wasn’t a point in the fight when he wasn’t in charge.

Cub Swanson tried his hardest to get inside the distance and throw Holloway off of his game, but Holloway was having none of it. Swanson took to the center of the octagon and tried to implement his gameplan but Holloway’s reach advantage allowed him to cut off every combination.

Holloway picked Swanson apart on the feet and switched levels perfectly throughout the fight to keep Swanson guessing. Swanson was dropped every round, but the final knockdown led to Holloway gaining full mount. Holloway wrapped his arm around the neck of Swanson and cranked a mounted guillotine which forced Swanson to submit.
