Bryan Barberena took the fight on short notice, but it was worth it! He made a successful debut in the octagon and earned a third round TKO.
Joe Ellenberger looked fantastic for the first five minutes of action. However, after the first round expired it was evident his gas tank was suffering from constantly working. He did a great job at picking Barberena apart and picking his punches, but Barberena was game and continued to press forward.
The tides started to change in the second round and by the time the third round came around, you could tell it was only a matter of time before Ellenberger broke. Barberena was simply too persistent in his performance after the first round and Ellenberger could not roll with the punches.
Barberena wobbled Ellenberger with a couple of punches that were strung together nicely. Ellenberger eventually crumbled to the mat and Barberena chased him there to finish the fight. Barberena listened to every instruction his corner was yelling at him and finished the fight in a minute’s time.
