Welterweights Omari Akhmedov (14-2 MMA) and Brian Ebersole (51-16-1 MMA) squared off in the fifth bout of the evening.

Akhmedov quickly took the center of the cage and landed a big kick to the body of Ebersole. Akhmedov continued to utilize his kicks, battering the legs of his veteran welterweight opponent. Akhmedov fired off a right hand and followed that up with another solid kick to the body. Ebersole began circling but Akhmedov continued the pressure by throwing some big right hands. Ebersole shot in for a takedown, but Akhmedov easily shrugged him off. Akhmedov continued to land leg kicks and followed those up with some stiff rights. Ebersole didn’t seem to have an answer, as Akhmedov continued to tee off on him to end Round 1.

Brian Ebersole suffered a knee injury in Round 1 and was unable to answer the bell in Round 2. Akhmedov gets rewarded with the TKO win.
