After such a long layoff, Julianna Pena’s comeback was a huge message to the rest of the division. Dudieva showed a great amount of heart, but nothing could stop Pena from making a statement in the octagon today.

As soon as Pena pressed Dudieva up against the fence she landed an easy single leg takedown. Pena landed in side control but transitioned to full mount right away and started teeing off on Dudieva’s face. The shots weren’t that hard, but they started to build up and Dudieva simply was not improving her position.

The referee waved the fight off in the first round, giving Pena the “W”.
