Leonardo Santos’ ground work tonight was nothing short of fantastic. He made sure there was no room for error and gave Martin no room to work a reversal or to even block a transition. Santos executed a sweep takedown and transitioned from guard to mount immediately. Martin went into panic mode and gave up his back which gave Santos some time to lock in the body triangle.

Santos saw the opportunity to work for the rear naked choke and dove on it. Martin tried to defend, but he was trapped in a body triangle and had nowhere to go. Santos locked in the submission and forced Martin to submit.
