The UFC released a statement on Jose Aldo’s injury and UFC 189 last night, basically saying that Aldo’s injury is not as bad as reported and still plans on fighting. If for some reason he can’t go, then they have contacted Chad Mendes to be prepared to step in if needed.
So, looks like Aldo vs. McGregor is still a go. Check out how the MMA World reacted to hearing the news!
Disappointed I wasn't the stand by guy. Felt it should of been me, think a lot of you feel the same. Thanks for all the support.

So Aldo not gonna train for the next 2.5 weeks then defend the title? Not smart. Near impossible to train with severely bruised ribs

Much respect to Aldo. Hope fighters/camps etc take notice & learn to keep their mouths shut. Most skilled fighter in world in tough spot
