UFC 197 set for HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro on March 5

It looks like the UFC will be returning to Brazil sooner rather than later!

On the heels of ‘UFC Fight Night: Belfort vs. Henderson’ taking place in Sao Paulo, the UFC announced that they would be traveling to Rio De Janeiro on March 5th for UFC 197.

The event was announced by UFC Brazil GM and Senior VP Giovani Decker at the UFC FN 77 post-fight press conference this past Saturday.

So far no bouts have been announced for the card, however it is worth mentioning that Anderson Silva has reportedly pressuring the UFC to book him a fight in Brazil, which we could potentially see on this UFC 197 card.
